Rats
by Israel Horovitz
A rare example of an early play by
American playwright, Israel Horovitz.
An excellent example of experimental
Non-representational theatre, this production has been restaged for video. Two “rats” fight for survival and control in a baby’s crib in a ghetto apartment in the city. The lessons learned apply to all of us in the hectic cutthroat world of today.

Our Little Trip
by Lawrence Ferlinghetti
Ferlingetti’s best known as a “beat poet” of the 1960’s. This is possibly the only video adaptation of one of his avant garde plays. Two characters in a bizarre, controlled, theatrical world unwind and wind while being interviewed as they make their cocoon-like little trip through this highly stylized world.

Soap Opera
by Ralph Pape
Pape’s elegant language creates three wonderfully intriguing characters in this psychological masterpiece. Through a series of twelve monologues the audience learns of this convoluted love triangle and its dramatically powerful conclusion. This video adaptation “opens up” the sparseness of the theatrical script with visual flashbacks and powerful background music and sound.
